Since forming in 2007, OUTLANDOS MUSIC has developed into a consortium of music-centered, cut-through-the-noise resources for fans, artists, and businesses, providing new-music discovery for grown-ups, holistic independent artist consultation, and fan-focused social media marketing.
It all started when Kate was working at Pump Audio and Al and Scott hand-delivered their Garagista Music Christmas-covers compilation, custom-created for the Pump catalog. Over lunch, Kate passionately proclaimed her shameless adoration for spazzy air-guitar and Andy Summers, as well as her vehement distaste for the lackluster state of the music industry when it came to targeting grown-ups: "Josh Groban? Kenny G? Bleck. Just because we're getting older doesn't mean we're getting lamer!" It was love at first rant... THE DAILY DOSE was born.
For grown-ups who still rock, THE DAILY DOSE provides free new-music discovery by highlighting modern songs next to older, "anchor" songs --- both lovingly handpicked specifically to work together as a pair. Think of it as bite-sized, 70s-style radio.
In addition to THE DAILY DOSE, OUTLANDOS MUSIC later cofounded THE iNSIDERS NETWORK, a group of music industry insiders who consult independent artists on entrepreneurship, well-being, and the ins and outs of the music industry --- all at affordable DIY prices. With its unique whole-artist approach, THE iNSIDERS NETWORK combines practical advice with artistic nurture, kind of like a holistic musician’s HMO.
Services are designed to assist artists in creating and executing marketing and fundraising campaigns, surviving mental ups and downs and reducing stress, promoting a band’s brand and getting its name out there, licensing music and composing for placement, touring smarter, from house concerts to international bookings, protecting legal rights as any business would, fueling creativity with a healthy, informed diet, and thriving both physically and mentally via customize yoga.
OUTLANDOS MUSIC later developed MASOKO SOCIAL, web-based social media marketing and personal branding consultation. By combining music-fan social media tips and tools with a public-radio-styled business model, MASOKO SOCIAL emphasizes a rock 'n roll twist on what makes fans tick and stick via the value of emotional value.
